Limited to only 10 people, book now to join the group while positions last.

Who’s This Experience for:

Surfers both fresh and seasoned will get great value from this trip. Agnes is perfect for beginners because there’s plenty of spots where the waves are long and uncrowded. If it’s ever maxing out, we know some great protected corners that remain learner-friendly too. Intermediates and more experienced surfers will love trying to refine their turning and technical skills on the reeling yet playful and forgiving points. Agnes has something for everyone – the empty, uncrowded waves will have everyone frothing.

What’s included:

  • 5 nights at backpackers
  • 3 surf lessons
  • 1 x video surf analysis (videos to keep)
  • Welcome BBQ dinner + outdoor surf movie screening
  • Unlimited board hire across your whole stay

We recommend getting the shared room option (2 person share) to make the most of the group experience, however, private rooms are also available. If you’re booking in a pair and would like to be in the same room please book 2x ‘shared room’ and let us know in your booking the person’s name you’d like to share with.

Your All-Time Surf Experience in the Australian Tropics of North Queensland

Agnes Waters, The Destination

Agnes Water is a chilled little coastal town in the beautiful Gladstone Region of Queensland, Australia. Holding just a small population slightly north of 2,000 people, Agnes is home to locals that are super friendly, inviting and welcoming. Experience a true old school Australian surfing community, with a town full of Salty charm and characters.

Location wise, the town sits about 90 minutes north of Bundaberg. It’s one of the closest access points to the Great Barrier Reef, with world-class snorkelling, diving and fishing a stone throw away.  Weather is warm year-round, with little rainfall and an average temp of 29 degrees celsius in summer and a pleasant 22 degrees celsius in the peak of ‘winter’. Water temp is often just a couple of degrees cooler.  Pristine empty beaches and expansive rainforest abound the area.  Thankfully, much of this untouched natural beauty remains preserved through the Eurimbula National Park, some 23,000 hectares. Nearby Joseph Banks Environmental Park located on the headland originally known as Round Head also provides avid adventurers with an awesome and immersive escape into nature.
